1. Special Session on Natural Language Processing

Scope and Objectives:
Natural language processing (NLP) is a field of computer science and linguistics concerned with the interactions between computers and human (natural) languages; it began as a branch of artificial intelligence.
This special session will provide researchers and engineers a forum in the areas of NLP to exchange their new ideas, which may contribute to boost this area.
The Session topics include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Algorithm and theory for natural language processing
- Language resource for natural language processing
- Application issues of NLP
- Other topics of relevance in NLP application etc.

Scope and Objectives:
With the rapid development of information security, smart system and its applications, it is important to design methods, an apparatus, and a system for enhancing application reliability of a script-based service. The method includes: analyzing data source information of a script-based service; obtaining current state information of the data source of the script-based service according to the analysis result; and judging the availability state of the script-based service according to the obtained current state information. With the technical solution of the present invention, a related analysis function is added to a script-based service server to analyze related data source information in the script-based service logic and mark the script-based service. In this way, a user can know the state of the script-based service when requesting a service, thus avoiding unnecessary service trials, saving system resources, and improving the user experience.

Scope and Objectives:
Image processing and its applications involve many computational intelligence and security problems. It's an important branch of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
This special session will provide researchers and engineers in the field of image processing and its applications a chance to exchange their new ideas, which may contribute much to boosting related theoretical researches and industrial applications.
